Free trial lesson: Just like you wouldn’t purchase a car without test-driving, we believe that it’s important for you to find out if our school is the right fit for you or your child before you make any commitment. We offer a free 15-minute trial lesson with a facility tour and a consultation.
All instruments: Piano, Voice, Guitar, Drums, Bass, Violin, Viola, Cello, Flute, Saxophone, Ukulele, and more! We offer a variety of instrument instruction in one location. If you are looking for one location to learn multiple instruments, you are at the right music studio!
Qualified music instructors: We have a number of music instructors who can work with your schedule. All instructors are required to possess a college degree in music or professional performance experience. Our experienced music teachers are here to nurture and help you to achieve your goals in music.
Band/Musical Theatre Program: Our school offers a band program and Theatre program. We strongly believe that students can complete their music learning experience by playing music with others in a group setting. On top of weekly private instrumental lessons, students can have one weekly group rehearsal where they learn classic rock and pop songs that have been arranged for them. We provide a band coach for each rehearsal. Our instructors will help students to learn their part during the weekly private lessons.
About Us
Jiye Hayden, Director and founder of After School Conservatory, has been teaching piano for over 20 years. She has expanded her music studio in Woodland Hills to share her love of music with all music enthusiasts in the community.
After School Conservatory is located on Ventura Blvd. near the border of Woodland Hills and Calabasas. We are conveniently located near Woodlake Elementary, Woodland Hills Elementary, Calabash Charter Academy, Hale Charter Academy, El Camino High School, and many more.
After School Conservatory has a spacious facility (over 3,000 sqft) equipped with top-notch quality musical instruments including Schimmel and Kawai grand pianos, Roland TD 17 series electronic drum set, and the Yamaha LC4 music lab system with 8 Yamaha P-45 digital pianos for a group piano teaching environment.

ASC is amazing! First of all, it's very easy to schedule and reschedule- they ALWAYS pick up the phone and provide guidance! My daughter started her singing lessons two months ago, she got a free singing lesson trial and loved it. But we were also thing about piano, so the owner invited her to participate in a free trial piano class as well, so we could decide what works best for our daughter. Together with the owner we decided to start with singing and add piano later, or switch. This was great guidance taking into consideration not the bottom line, but my daughter's age and concentration/ focus abilities. The space is very nice with waiting rooms for parents, but you don't have to stay. There is also a table and books to keep siblings occupied. Classes always start on time and there is always feedback. I honestly didn't know what to expect, but, so far, this has been the best after school find!
We had the best experience with musical theater camp this year at ASC. The teachers are all amazing and engaging with the kids and the school is bright and clean. My daughter loved it so much and had a great time at camp. The kids put on a show at the end of the week with only 4 days to prepare and it turned out amazing!
Wonderful teachers and staff! Ms. Diane (piano) has taught my child more in a few months the than she learned over 2 years with her previous instructor. My other child takes lessons with Mr. Kevin (violin), and I cannot say enough good things about him as well. Neither of my kid minds going to their lesson because their teachers make it enjoyable, & they learn so much with both of them.
